UPDATE: Today, May 19, 2012, around 3PM, we said "goodbye" to Nadja. He'd been in declining health for a few months, and just plain worn his body out with all the loving he provided all of us. I hope to see him in my dreams and possible another body in the not-so-distant future. My life is forever changed for having known him. He taught me the meaning of unconditional love and my capacity to love has been…
Last weekend I had the honor of participating at the Mountain Skies Electro-Music Festival 2012 in Asheville, NC. It was my first time in Asheville and the first time for this particular event. Greg and Hong Waltzer and the rest of the Mountain Skies crew curated a wonderful lineup of artists who turned in some incredible performances. Hong shot and edited these video highlights (and shot the photo above) which give you a good sense of the diversity of acts and what it was like to be there.
I also want to give a shout out to Michael O’Bannon who was created visuals for my performance.

I took a lot of photos of the event including photos of the Moog factory tour and will include them in an upcoming post.

Related Posts:This is a track I recorded in 2011. I was surprised when I sampled a small 4-inch diameter Tibetan singing bowl. I transposed the sample several octaves down, and it still retained much of the richness of a large bowl. It's still a little harsh, so I may re-sample it in the future with a better mic. This was recorded live in a single stereo track using Cantabile Solo 2.0. Featured are an Ensoniq ASR-10, Roland Alpha Juno 1, and SampleTank VSTi. Hopefully, I'll have some new tracks…
