NAMM 2011 - Teaser for the new VST/AU/RTAS Effect from Plogue

Plogue is proud to present a little teaser on our secret project, an "Early Sampling Circuit Simulator", which runs as a VST/AU/RTAS Effect. It contains resamplers, filters, speaker impulses and other fined tuned algorithms to emulate the full signal path of well known early sampling devices, like for instance an SK-1 or the Amiga Paula, from the required analog to digital conversion (far from mere 'bit crushing'), up until the end speaker.

NAMM 2011 - RapcoHorizon i-Blox Smart-Phone Instrument Interface

At the end of Summer 2010, RapcoHorizon launched their i-Blox Smart-Phone instrument interface. The unit also made it's debut at the NAMM 2011 show. The i-Blox works with iOS devices such as iPhone/iPod Touch and the iPad. The i-BLOX serves as an audio interface that connects an instrument to an iPhone amplifier as well as mobile recording applications.

NAMM 2011 - The Return Of The Fairlight CMI-30A - 30th Anniversary Limited Edition

Wow it really is back to the future at NAMM 2011 with regard to the brand new reissued Fairlight CMI-30A. In these two videos posted by Accordo and Musician News respectively. The videos both show one of the original Farilight creators Peter Vogel showing the synths original features as well as explaining some of the newer features such as the voices are now polyphonic as opposed to the original voices being monophonic and new functions like brew. Which means to cook things together. Any number of sounds can be put together to make a new sound. All the old standard sounds are on board from Peter Gabriel's broken glass sounds to the "Oh Yeah's" so prominently heard through commercials of the 1980's.

NAMM 2011 - Novation Automap V3.8 Updated

NAMM 2011 see's Novation announce Automap 3.8 which brings tighter integration for Waves users, and the launch of the massive Golden Ticket campaign during which over $5,000 worth of special edition gold Novation, Rane and Serato gear will be given away. Novation will also be marking the global availability of the new UltraNova synthesiser.
